Editors Maija-Leena Huotari and Mirja Livonen are attempting to grasp an important issue relevant to networking and knowledge management in general, namely trust. In this volume, they incorporated various papers of researchers dealing with the topic. They divided the book into four parts: trust in performing; trust in online communities; citizens? trust on institutions; and towards trust models. The editors consider systems in relation to knowledge and information mainly from the social point of view, but when referring to the use and utilization of information and communication technologies (ICTs), the term system is also used. The point of view is socio-technological for the organizations and networks are social systems.
